报道指出，当时拉波尔塔非常生气，因为他认为判罚存在双重标准，但他不想开口，以免把事情闹大。

当值主裁的判罚备受争议：最让阿拉维斯主教练不满的是关于恩德里克故意踢人的判罚，他本该吃到红牌却被出示黄牌，这导致白衣军团本该以10人应战，比分也变成了3:2。以至于路易斯-加西亚在比赛结束后直接找到安切洛蒂，表达了他对这一判罚的不满。

而在此前，拉波尔塔就曾暗示过皇马连续获得两个点球的判罚，他在出席午餐会时笑着说：“要罚点球，两个点球。”但用的是飞镖这个词代替。
